Harris, Barnett and Lazarus Family Tree updates
Thanks to Carol Kino (My father’s second cousin’s daughter), John Gould (my grandfather’s second cousin’s son) and Shlomo Shalev (no relation) I have made MAJOR progress on my Harris Family Tree and also received some of the photographs below which I have already added to my Gallery of Family Photos.
John, Shlomo and I made contact through our TribalPages Family Tree websites. Carol found me through this website. My website now has 240 relatives, it stood at about 130 this time last month. Its been a busy month!
My Great Great Grandparents were William Harris and Eve Barnett
Eve Barnetts mother was Caroline Lazarus, her father was Abraham Barnett, her sister was Julia Barnett, and Eve and William had NINE Children, two of which are pictured below – Lionel Harris (my Great Grandfather), and Ethel Harris (Carol Kino’s Great Grandmother)

I found your link by reading anarticle written by John Gould in the Shermot forwarded by a cousin George Penfold. Indeed I am his first cousin also related to Eleazar Lazarus…I have been in contact with Eve Richardson since 2004. I didn’t realize until reading this article how close we are to the Barnett line..I have seen your links in the past but thought you were of a different family line. I have a question, the jewish family albeit Lazarus etc..that resided in Benjamin st Exeter and nearby did they orginally migrate from eastern Europe as they are ashkenazi jews…I am wondering if indeed they originated from Poland or Russia…I often think of fiddler on the roof when refering to my jewish family roots.
Also on a sader note, I have just been diagnosed with MS and benign tumours on the L breast…is this common in the Lazarus family..for it is beleived b. cancer is significantly more prominent in Ashkenazi jews than any other race…MS from what I beleive is not heriditary and indeed todate I appear to be an isolated case…i ask such personal info as I am adopted..fosterd until I was 19..and have little knowledge as to whether there is family disposition to such diseases.

If you know names that join the dots to any relatives you are related to on my family tree then I would LOVE to be able to add them to my tree.
